Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We have so much to be thankful for!  Although it may seem dismal at times, here in the U.S. we are a free people, and have so much more than many people in other countries have.  We need to stop and count our blessings.

Many will be hitting the malls and other stores for black Friday sales.  I hope that you will take the time to stop by ETSY and visit my shop, as well as those of others that are trying to support themselves by making original, handmade, quality items.  There is so much to chose from and there are some great deals to be had!

Many shops are offering free shipping on their items, me included.  So stop by at etsy.com and "Buy Handmade".  Use either of the links in this post, or click on my shop in the sidebar.

Thank you for stopping by, I am so thankful for your support, and again Happy Thanksgiving!

Back to Blogging!

I’m sorry, I just have been sooooo busy!  I have had to ignore my blogs, and have had to take a step back from reading the post feeds that I subscribe to.  I have just been overwhelmed!

But I am going to try to get back into the swing of things. Here are some of the things that I have been doing:

simplicity bag

A new bag on my Etsy site!  I absolutely love this fabric!

And this knot bag was completed last weekend, this is a view of the inside and key fob.  I really like this southwestern fabric! This one isn’t on the Etsy site though.

And I have cut out some other projects.  I have 3 stacks of little bears that will have button jointed arms, and make great tree ornaments.  And the pale green fabric is for small Christmas baskets, and another strip fabric heart to hang from a door knob.

There have been other home improvement projects I have also been working on, but I think that I will save those for another time!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! And happy sewing!

Another Wonderful Quilt Giveaway

I am amazed about the number of generous members of the sewing and crafting community.  Abbie over at her blog The Handmade Quilt-er is making a quilt to give away to one lucky winner.  Her drawing will be on November 12.

The story behind her giveaway is just amazing!  Please drop by her blog and read the story for yourself.  I don't think that I could tell it better than she has.

God bless you Abbie for your never ending kindness!
