No Sew Bunny Tutorial

No Sew Bunnies

Easter is right around the corner.  I thought it would be fun to share these cute no sew bunnies.  A great craft to do with kids!

Supplies

Supplies

Here is a list of the supplies you will need:

package of washcloths (get the cheap ones, they need to be thin) I got a package of 18 at Walmart for about $4.

Package of 10mm eyes (you can use any size you prefer, up to you)

pom poms, various sizes to suit you

glue (a glue gun can be used)

various trims to decorate

small rubber bands

Take one of the washcloths, cut off the tag, and lay it out.  Start at one of the points and roll it in to the center, be sure to roll it tightly;

Next, roll the opposite corner to the center;

Next, pick up the rolled cloth, turn it to a loop, with the rolled edges facing out;

Fold the flaps in the front, back over the loop you just made;

Next, grab a couple of the small rubber bands, only use one if they are very large, and wrap them around the part you just folded back;

Make sure that the rubber bands are tight, this will form the face and the ears;

Arrange the flaps for the ears and face in the shape you desire.  You can make the face or ears, larger or smaller by moving the rubber bands either forward or back;

Next, glue on the nose, tail, and eyes where you want them.  Just a small dab of glue works well;

Next, tie a ribbon or a piece of trim (no wider than about 3/8″) around the rubber band;

These are quick and fun to make. You can use any variety of trims and colors, be creative.  You could also use this for a colored boiled egg holder, or put place cards on them for Easter dinner!

Note:  This would make a really cute party favor, without the plastic eggs, for a baby shower.  You could make them in a color theme for boy, girl, or whatever you desire!
