Time Away

I’ll be taking some time off from blogging, and most of my sewing projects.  We are going to be meeting a friend in Malibu, CA for a few days. We will be leaving on Sunday.  Our friend, Luiz, is flying in from Scotland to lecture at UCLA.  We haven’t seen him for quite some time, so it will be nice to spend some time with him, and get away from working on the house for a few days.

When I return I need to just focus my energies on the house for a couple of weeks.  This has been a constant struggle for me.  I am feeling like I am spread all over the place.  I need to focus on completing the upgrades we are doing on our house, and get it on the market for sale.  We will be going up to Washington state for a few days in mid-April as well, and looking at houses there.  So I also need to prepare for that trip.

I am missing blogging and sewing terribly.  But I know that if I take this time to focus on just these couple of things (which are not small things by any means), I will be able to get back to my blog and my sewing.

When I return from our Washington trip, I will start featuring the Etsy shops again. I have really enjoyed getting to know my fellow Estians.  I also have a couple of new books that I want to write reviews about, and I have started to finish up some of my UFO’s, that I will share with you, as well as a few new projects in the works.

Until then, I hope that you have many wonderful sewing and crafting experiences, and I will be trying to get by to visit and say hello to everyone! I hope that all of you have a wonderful Easter holiday.

Take care,

Cheryl

Etsy Featured Shop – Lil’ Bit Sassy

This week I would like to introduce you to Rhonda’s Etsy Shop – Lil’ Bit Sassy.  Actually Rhonda has two Etsy shops.  She also owns and operates LotsOPatterns!

Clarabelle Cow

Rhonda resides in Meadville, PA and loves to do cross stitch, scrapbooking, working with plastic canvas and lots of other crafts!  As you can see, sewing is also one of her many talents!

Boo Boo/Owie Bag

Rhonda’s shop – Lil’ Bit Sassy has handmade baby toys, eye pillows and lots of other gift ideas!  She also makes purses, something that she has enjoyed making for a long time. I love the Boo Boo/Owie Bag!  It can be cooled in the freezer or warmed in the microwave.  It is filled with ground rice, and has velcro closures that you can see to hold it in place.

Banana Purse

Such cute fabric!

Ice Cream Cone Wallhanging

She has wall decor, blankets, art aprons and the list goes on! And she takes custom and special orders!

Rhonda’s other shop – LotsOPatterns has all kinds of patterns, books and supplies in new or like new condition.  She will let you know if it is not new.

Crochet Books

Patchwork Book

Rhonda also has a blog!  Stop by to visit her at http://www.lilbitsassy.blogspot.com

Featured Etsy Shop – Rich Mix Fashion

This is an Etsy shop that has found a niche!  Rose Glen, owner and operator of Rich Mix Fashion has clothing for plus sizes.  Her clothing is so wonderful, and not typically what you would expect to find.

Pleated Skirt

Located in Great Britain, Rose has always sewn her own clothing.  She found that there was a void in the selection of fashion for the plus size, curvy woman, and has made a wonderful contribution in closing that void.

She has come up with some designs, yes these are her designs, that are unique.  Who wants to look just like the person next to them? :) She specializes in sizes 14 to 26.

Stop by and follow her blog:  Rich Mix Fashion Plus Size Clothing.
